Everytime my heart pumps harder before every performance, I know that I'm still in it.
The day my heart does not pump harder, I know that I lost the nervous feeling, and that I have grown tired of performing.
That was my thoughts when I prepared to play and sing. Granted that the last two days was a performance for charity and not for entertainment, but I still gave it my best shot. I even took the liberty of joining in another band to be an impromptu second guitarist because I still get a kick out of performing.
Playing music has been my passion and will always be my passion. And to see people enjoy my music, that's definitely a big plus. I see the direct result of my passion being shared to the people around me. I have a passion for design, writing, and for all things visual, but my passion for music continues to give me the much needed boost when the going gets tough.
To one day be standing on the stage with my guitar strapped over my shoulder, and look out at a crowd of thousands - that is my dream. And I am sure that my heart will be pumping hard and fast as I dig my guitar pick into my guitar strings, letting out a scorching riff as I watch the crowd go absolutely delirious.
