Uncharted territory

Lately, I have been sailing deep into uncharted territory. My lack of knowledge or experience in sailing these seas is very apparent as confusion and hesitation continues to eat at me. The excitement and the thrill of exploring these seas quickly gives way to fear upon noticing how the tides, wind currents, and even the stars look so different to me.

I gingerly manoeuvre the ship according to the chart my Captain and my experienced crew mates generously provided to me. One mistake would be disastrous - my crew mates have experienced this first hand and have warned me to be very careful and alert in these treacherous seas.

Things have been going well so far, but the recent tail winds have really pushed my ship forward at a pace that I cannot keep up if I were to consult the charts while I manoeuvre.

"You really should let me take the wheel. I know these seas because I own it." The Captain places his hand on my shoulder, His voice soothing yet firm. It is obvious that the seas belong to Him. "All you need to do is allow me to be in command of this ship." The Captain continues.

"Aye aye, Captain." I comply. I release my hands from the wheel and take a step backward to make room for the Captain.

"Unfurl the main sails. It's time for us to really get to where you should go." The Captain says. He grins and takes a swig of rum as he confidently handles the wheel. "What are you doing standing there? Get to work!"

"...... Aye aye, Captain!"
